15 seasons later and Grey's Anatomy is still on the air.
Ellen Pompeo, the star of the show has provided a little information on when the show will end during a recent interview.
If you are a fan, this news may be shocking to you.
Pompeo said it would be a decision made by her and Shonda Rhimes.
She stated "I've been doing it a long time and I do get restless, but the fans are just so passionate about the show."
Pompeo also said that the viewers are the ones that are in control of the show and its fate.
When the numbers start to drop and people aren't as passionate about it, that's when the show will end.
For Ellen Pompeo, her fans are what make all of this worth it.
Seeing how much the show means to it's viewers makes her want to continue playing Meredith which she has been playing since 2005.
The best part for her is also seeing how much the show has touched people's everyday lives. She hears the stories, and to be able to touch people in such a meaningful way is something she'll never take for granted.
Previously she has hinted that the series could possibly wrap as early as Season 16.
So as of right now, if you keep watching, Grey's will keep airing!

This relationship is one of the most meaningful in my life. It has taught me so much about life. Lessons that I will pass on to my children ...lessons that I use every day. @shondarhimes has always allowed me to be exactly who I am...celebrated who I am and has never asked me to be anyone else...and most importantly has always challenged me to be the best version of myself I can. I am eternally grateful to be in the same orbit. #rideordie ❤️💋🙌🏼
